My 90 days of gratitude | Prompt Day 55: How can minimalism reduce your stress?
Hello everyone! Back in my gratitude refuge. This time, we're going to talk about minimalism and how it can impact stress.
I think that when most people think of minimalism, they automatically picture a very neat and clear house. And yes, tidying up the physical space helps a lot. If you have fewer things, your brain gets less stressed. It's as if every unnecessary object were a small extra weight you carry. I've proven it: less visual clutter is less mental "noise."
But for me, the real trick of minimalism lies in energy management.
I always try to keep my life as simple as possible. Not because it's trendy, but because I'm too lazy for drama. My form of minimalism is constant mental cleaning, a kind of quality control over what I allow in.
And here comes my key point: I avoid gossip and lies at all costs. Seriously, it's a ridiculous waste of energy! Having to remember who said what, invent excuses, or uphold a false version of reality... that drains you.
By choosing truth and simplicity in my relationships and my words, I am practicing the most effective form of minimalism. I free myself from that mental burden and don't have to juggle emotionally; there are no hidden agendas. It's my way of choosing peace.
When you simplify what you say and who you relate to, you suddenly have more space for what really matters. Less drama, fewer explanations. That's my way of staying calm, without stress.
This is what allows me to focus on what makes me happy and gives me clarity. I invite you to do your own "cleaning" today: what lie can you let go of to feel that lightness?
Grateful for my peace, my calm life, and my way of facing life.
Agnesi,
Un Círculo Rojo
